Award-winning artist, Richard T. Reminger

has graciously donated a beautiful oil painting to Lourdes Noreen McKeen Residences. A dedication ceremony was held on August 16, 2024, in the Emerald Lounge where his painting will hang in its permanent home. The dramatic painting depicts two small skiffs tied together in a Massachusetts fishing cove. “When the fishermen go out for the day, they take the skiffs out to the fishing boat, and when they return, they tie their skiffs up when they are home for the day”, explaining how he came to name it, “At Home, At Last”.
 
During the reception, Mr. Reminger happily answered questions from those who gathered to celebrate the occasion with cheese and wine. Mr. Reminger is the founder and retired CEO of Reminger Co., L.P.A., a law firm that handles civil and liability cases in defense of physicians and hospitals before courts and juries, headquartered in Cleveland, OH with fifteen offices in five states. His interest in painting came about after a spirited evening with a colleague and has since blossomed into many professional painting lessons, five art agents, over 178 exhibitions internationally, and over 600 paintings. We are honored to be the recipient of his amazing work.

Oktoberfest Success 2024

The German Band from Munich brought the Oktoberfest spirit to the LNMR ballroom recently.  Thanks to a resident who is also a member of the German-American Club of Lake Worth, the Independent/Assisted Living residents enjoyed the rousing celebration, refreshments and great sense of humor of the band members.

 

Flag Day 2024

Flag Day was celebrated in a special way at Lourdes Noreen McKeen Residence, with the Inaugural blessing and raising of our new flag on the recently installed flagpole. Sr. Kevin Patricia Lynch, CEO presided as emcee of the outdoor celebration and welcomed residents, staff and guests. The flagpole is located on the IL/AL entrance on Flagler Drive.
